Mount Saint Vincent University has a long history of championing the advancement of women. To mark International Women’s Day (March 8th), we are excited to share with you a sneak peek of a new addition to our campus that will celebrate the impact of women from across our communities.
On May 29th, the Mount will join donors, supporters and friends to celebrate the opening of the Margaret Norrie McCain Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research – the first building on a Canadian university campus dedicated to the advancement of women.
The building is named for donor Margaret McCain, and will honour 18 inspiring women on tapestries inside. The Riva Spatz Women’s Wall of Honour just outside the building will display the names of hundreds of women who have been honoured by their friends and family.
