Research and Teaching Interests

  • Critical perspectives on technology in education
  • Equity, diversity, and inclusion in digital pedagogies
  • Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and mobile-assisted language learning (MALL)
  • Teacher education for technology-enhanced learning environments
  • Socio-cultural aspects of technology-mediated learning

My research explores the intersection of technology, education, and equity in digital learning spaces. I investigate how AI-driven tools, adaptive learning systems, and learning analytics can be effectively integrated into educational contexts to support diverse learners while promoting inclusive practices. Drawing on my interdisciplinary background in computer science, applied linguistics, and education, I examine the design, implementation, and impact of educational technologies on language teaching and learning processes. My work aims to advance equitable digital pedagogies that enhance access, participation, and achievement for all learners.

Prior to joining MSVU, I held positions at York University, where I served as Academic Coordinator for the York English Language Test and contributed to the development of technology-enhanced curricula for various language programs. My international teaching experiences in South Korea and China have informed my approach to intercultural communication in digital environments. I am committed to creating inclusive and supportive online and blended learning spaces that celebrate all students.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes active engagement with educational technologies, critical digital literacy, and the development of 21st-century skills for learners. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses focused on integrating technology in various classroom contexts, including AI and data analytics in education, digital literacy, and critical examinations of technology in educational praxis.
