Frequently Asked Questions
The application review process begins 1 to 2 weeks after the application deadline. We aim to have most decision out 8 weeks after the application deadline. There will be significant wait times for applicants who do not follow the application instructions as we will follow up with these applicants AFTER we have reviewed applications that were submitted in the correct format.

Once a decision is made, you will receive email notification, which will go to the email address that you provided at the time of your application. Please note that these decisions are final and not open to appeal.
We understand that unforeseen situations arise that may necessitate changing your academic/personal/professional plans. Do I need a study permit?
Generally, International students need a study permit to study in Canada. General information about the study permit can be found on the Government of Canada website. Please contact the visa office for your country to find out about the application requirements and the processing times.
Refusal decisions are final and not open to appeal. We receive hundreds of applications for limited seats in our graduate programs so admission is very competitive. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance. You are competing with many other candidates for limited seats so the onus is on you to submit a complete application BEFORE the application deadline. No additional information will be reviewed after a refusal has been sent.
