Facing Challenges Head On
Economics involves making tough choices. Businesses face shortages of labour, capital and natural resources. They must function in a volatile business environment that is shaped by economic forces. Whether decisions involve minimizing the carbon footprint, maximizing profits or creating innovative new products, the role of economics in decision making is critical. There are many employment opportunities for economics graduates. Go on to complete a credential through the Institute of Canadian Bankers, or the Insurance Institute of Canada. Work in private enterprise, government, or consulting. Be a bank manager, work in international development, or become an entrepreneur. The Business Administration program offers a concentration in economics and you can also minor in it through the Economics Department.
