A message from Dr. Ramona Lumpkin, MSVU Interim President and Vice-Chancellor:
“May is Asian Heritage Month in Canada and was recently proclaimed in Nova Scotia. This year’s theme, ‘Recognition, Resilience, and Resolve,’ highlights the importance of learning more about the history of Canadians of Asian descent and celebrating their many contributions to the growth and prosperity of our province and our country. This theme also encourages us to continue to come together to stand up against all forms of anti-Asian racism and discrimination.
The Mount has benefitted immensely from the many contributions students, faculty and staff of Asian descent have made to our campus community over the years. Without them, we would not be the university we are today.”
