Orientation isn’t just a fall thing! Students new to MSVU this January are getting a special orientation to the university through Frost Week activities.
And they’re being joined by returning students.
A chance to learn more about MSVU, connect with people, make friends, and learn what it means to be a Mystic, Frost Week is open to all students and delivered by the Student Experience team, in partnership with the Students’ Union.
The week started off with a series of academic events, including academic advising drop-ins, an online orientation and “ask me anything” stations. There was also an orientation session held for students new to MSVU in the winter semester and one just for new international students.
A local hike, bingo night, movie night, speed friending, and student services fair, have rounded out the week, which will wrap-up on January 13 with an evening skate at the Oval. Stay tuned for the MSVUSU Frost Ball coming up at the end of January!
Though Frost Week 2023 may be coming to an end, there are many more events in store for MSVU students this semester. And Captain’s Calendar is the place to find out about them. There are a couple of trivia nights coming up (Taylor Swift trivia, anyone?), a new fitness class schedule, badminton drop-ins, “Get ‘Er Done” study sessions with the Mount Mentors, weekly halaqas hosted by the MSVU Muslim Student Association, and MUCH more.
Here’s to a wonderful winter!
