Scholarship Program for African Nova Scotian Students
The Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development administers a scholarship program for African Nova Scotia Students.
To be eligible for Scholarships/Awards under this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- applicant must be an African Nova Scotian (Black) student with genealogical/ancestral connections to an historical African Nova Scotian/Black community; and/or
- applicant must be an African Nova Scotian (Black) student; and
- applicant must be a Canadian citizen whose parent(s) is/are of Black* African Descent;
- applicants must be a resident of Nova Scotia;
- applicants must have attended High School in Nova Scotia;
- applicants must be enrolled full-time;
- applicants must submit an application each year to be considered for any award/bursary

Black Educators Association
The Black Educators Association has a bursary available to an African Nova Scotia black learner each year. The application can be found here.
