In the lead up to International Women’s Day 2024, we’ve been sharing stories of some of our many women alumnae who are making an impact in their communities. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read these stories:
- Dr. Susan Clark: MSVU Alumna and Co-founder of the Institute for the Study of Women (now AMI)
- Kelsey MacDonald: MSVU Alumna, Expert Strategic Communicator, and Women’s Health Advocate
- Doreen Crick: MSVU Alumna Unveiling the Hidden Stories of the Caribbean
Congratulations to the Centre for Women in Business on another successful International Women’s Day breakfast, this time featuring a panel of women business owners. The event also showcased a few of the participants in the CWB’s RBC Alliance of Young Women Entrepreneurs program. The CWB supports women running a diversity of businesses across all phases of entrepreneurship. MSVU is proud to be home to this great organization which also happens to be the only Canadian university-based business resource centre exclusively dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs.
Of course, there’s much more to be done to further the advancement of women – always areas for improvement – at MSVU and beyond. More progress to come.
