Pre-arrival Webinars and Workshops (November – December 2024)

Note:

  1. The webinars are scheduled according to the local time zone in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada;
  2. Registration requires your login with MSVU email address and password;
  3. Download Microsoft Teams (work or school edition) and log in with your MSVU email address and password;
  4. On the workshop day, click the calendar icon in your Microsoft Teams app or your Outlook app and find the workshop. Click it to join us.

Living on campus will provide you with the convenient access to the campus services and classes. You will also have the opportunities to make friends and hang out with people from diverse backgrounds.

Money matters! This webinar will introduce the financial services for students at MSVU and some important financial matters students need to be aware of.

This webinar aims to help you be fully prepared for your travel to Canada and MSVU, such as what documents you need to bring with you and what you need to do when going through customs at the airport etc.

We are hosting 2 sessions, you are welcomed to either or both. (There might be updates on the presentation, so we suggest you register for the one for Dec 5.)

However, if you do not manage your budget in a wise way, you will probably encounter some challenges. Join us to learn how you can manage your budget well and ease your life here in Canada. The seminar requires your presence in person. The location is Seton Annex 102, International Education Centre (No.10 on the map).
