The Tourism Education Alliance of the Maritimes (TEAM) will host the sixth annual evening in support of Mount Saint Vincent University’s Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management Program. Funds raised at this event contribute to program enhancements, recognizing student achievements, supporting students with financial need, and providing students with opportunities for professional development.
TEAM began in 2014 with a vision to invest in the next generation of Tourism and Hospitality Management professionals. TEAM recognizes the critical role that Tourism and Hospitality Management sector plays in the growth and development of the Atlantic Region. Mount Saint Vincent University prides itself on experiential learning in the classroom and through partnerships across multiple sectors. These initiatives not only advance tourism education and talent, they invest in success of the sector here in Atlantic Canada.
This year’s event, ‘Leaders in Tourism’ takes place on at 630 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, online. Hosting the event online was not an easy decision for the TEAM Executive Membership to make; however, they intend to make this event as interactive as possible by having live entertainment throughout the event, hosting the live auction, participating in a balloon blitz, and providing networking opportunities to attendees. Prior to the event, each ticket holder will be provided with a token of appreciation as well as the password and URL link to attend the event.
Entertainment is provided by members of the band Rawlins Cross. The event brings together industry professionals and MSVU Tourism and Hospitality Management students for an evening of recognition, appreciation, fellowship and collaboration.
