Tyrone Cotie, Vice President, Treasury and Planning, Chorus Aviation Inc., is in year two of his two-year term as Vice-Chair.

MSVU is governed using a bi-cameral governance structure consisting of the Board of Governors and the Senate (responsible for academic affairs). The MSVU Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the University, including governance and oversight of the University generally, its property, revenues, expenditures, business and affairs.

A call for new Board members

The MSVU Board of Governors is seeking new members. MSVU prioritizes equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, Peoples of African descent, members of other racialized groups, persons with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQ1A+ individuals. At this time, the University is seeking members with expertise in government relations, risk management, financial and investment management, governance, and philanthropy, as well as individuals with legal expertise.
