This past weekend was a weekend worth celebrating for the Mount Mystics Women’s basketball team – and not just because they defeated the St. Thomas Tommies and UNBSJ Seawolves on back-to-back game days.
The first of last weekend’s victories was a very special one as it marked the 300th career win for head coach Mark Forward.
Mark has been head coach of the Mount Mystics Women’s basketball team for 15 years. He’s been named ACAA coach of the year an impressive five times, and in 2018-2019 was recognized as CCAA Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the Mystics have earned five ACAA championship banners. He’s known for his deep commitment to his players both on and off the court; we’re very fortunate to have him at MSVU.
